Hi and Welcome to my website.
To me, there seems to be a silver cord which runs through all of the Great Religions, calling us to love, honour and hold sacred all other human beings who we share this earth with, regardless of cast, colour or religious persuasion. From the brilliance of the messages of the Bible, to the teachings of the Tao Te Ching, the Sufis, the Gita, Upanishads, and countless others too numerous to mention, the message has always seemed to be to me the same. Within all of these Sacred Scripts we learn the important duties we owe to God, our families and the world. Where we will stay but for a brief while and make this often lonely march back to God.
On my own personal journey through life and the many turns and unexpected twists which we humans experience, many things have supported me, encouraged and carried me safely through the times when I felt that all hope was gone, when the candle of my faith flickered and I felt somewhat weary of the chase so to speak. And then, as has happened so very many times on this journey, my eyes have fallen upon, and I have read some uplifting verse or prose and something has shifted and changed within me. The fog has lifted, the darkness lightened, despair has lifted and been replaced by a very real sense of peace and courage. It was during those changing times that I have seen, albeit through a 'glass darkly', that the darkness and weariness too, were a necessary part of this journey, and that without the darkness I would not have sought the healing of some higher ground.
"For our task is not to seek some higher ground, or to make the darkness bright, it is to walk with faith amidst the gloom, undaunted and unafraid by the darkness of the night".
All of the verses which I have written over the years can be shared with others should you wish to do so. Over the next week or so I will also add links to the inspirational videos which I have posted on YouTube.
It is my deepest desire and sincere wish that the verses which you find here on this site will inspire, comfort and be an encouragement to you on this, our Journey home.
As you may see, this site will be a work in progress and will be added to over the weeks and months.
